Segesta

Old site of the city of Segesta, the archaeological site enjoys an exceptional situation in the middle of a valley dug between two mountains. We can discover the Doric temple of Segesta (or temple of Hera) built around -500. It is one of the most beautiful temples of Sicily although it has never been completed and therefore never dedicated to a Greek God. As a result, he was spared by the Vandals during their +500 invasion, which may explain his exceptional state of conservation.

Erice

Old Neolithic site important the city of Erice counts among the most popular tourist destinations, not only in Sicily, but in all the Mediterranean. Among narrow alleys and courtyards, time seems to have stopped for centuries. We can discover Castello di Venere, a Norman castle built in the 12th century, from where you can admire one of the most beautiful views of the city of Trapani and the Chiesa Madre, a fortified church from the 14th century.

Saline of Marsala and Trapani

Notable sites where the “salt culture”, a centuries-old tradition has shaped the territory by creating salt marshes on the lagoon between Trapani and Marsala.

Some salinas still perpetuate the millennial tradition of manual harvesting and take on the restoration of many windmills.

Marsala

Marsala city of wine, flowers, salt, strawberries and ceramics. Here, colors, flavors and aromas of Sicily are gathered on a territory that continues to grow typical Mediterranean hospitality.
