Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival in Catania
Arrival in Catania and hotel check-in. Free time for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2 – Syracuse and Noto
Guided visit to the Archaeological Park of Neapolis in Syracuse. Walking tour of Ortigia with a visit to the Cathedral. Afternoon excursion to Noto, the “Capital of Baroque.” Overnight stay in Ragusa.
Day 3 – Ragusa, Modica, and Piazza Armerina
Tour of Ragusa Ibla, famous as the set of Inspector Montalbano. Tasting of Modica’s renowned chocolate. Visit to the Roman Villa del Casale with its extraordinary mosaics. Overnight stay in Agrigento.
Day 4 – Valley of the Temples, Marsala, and the Salt Road
Visit to the UNESCO-listed Valley of the Temples. Guided tour of Marsala with wine tasting at the historic Florio cellars. Scenic drive along the “Salt Road.” Overnight stay in Palermo.
Day 5 – Monreale and Palermo
Visit to the Cathedral and Cloister of Monreale. Guided tour of Palermo including the Palatine Chapel and Teatro Massimo. Free time to explore the city. Overnight stay in Palermo.
Day 6 – Boat Excursion to Favignana and Levanzo
Departure from Trapani port at 9:30 AM. Free time in Favignana to explore the old town and the Ex Florio Tuna Cannery Museum. Lunch on board and swimming stops at Cala Rossa and Cala Azzurra. Continue to Levanzo for a visit to the fishing village and a swim at Cala Minnola. Return to Trapani at 5:30 PM and overnight stay in Palermo.
Day 7 – Erice and Segesta
Visit the medieval hilltop village of Erice. Guided tour of the Temple of Segesta. Overnight stay in Palermo.
Day 8 – Taormina and Isola Bella
Transfer to Taormina and guided visit to the Ancient Greek Theatre. Excursion to the beautiful Isola Bella. Overnight stay in Taormina.
Day 9 – Mount Etna and Wine Tasting
Excursion to Mount Etna with an expert guide. Wine tasting in a local winery. Overnight stay in Catania.
Day 10 – End of Tour
Breakfast at the hotel and end of services.
