Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 – Saturday: Arrival in Catania
Arrival in Catania and hotel check-in. Free time for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2 – Sunday: Syracuse and Noto
Guided visit to the Archaeological Park of Neapolis in Syracuse. Walking tour of Ortigia Island with a visit to the Cathedral. Afternoon excursion to Noto, the “Capital of Baroque.” Overnight stay in Ragusa.
Day 3 – Monday: Ragusa Ibla, Modica, and Piazza Armerina
Tour of Ragusa Ibla, famous as the filming location of Inspector Montalbano. Tasting of Modica’s world-famous chocolate. Visit to the Roman Villa del Casale with its extraordinary mosaics. Overnight stay in Agrigento.
Day 4 – Tuesday: Agrigento, Marsala, and the Salt Road
Guided tour of the UNESCO-listed Valley of the Temples. Visit to the historic center of Marsala and tasting at the Florio wine cellars. Scenic drive along the “Salt Road.” Overnight stay in Palermo.
Day 5 – Wednesday: Monreale and Palermo
Visit to the Cathedral and Cloister of Monreale. Guided tour of Palermo including the Cathedral, Palatine Chapel, and Teatro Massimo. Free time to explore the city. Overnight stay in Palermo.
Day 6 – Thursday: Cefalù and Return to Catania
Visit to the Norman Cathedral of Cefalù and free time to explore the old town. Return to Catania with a panoramic city tour. Overnight stay in Catania.
Day 7 – Friday: Mount Etna and Taormina
Excursion to the Silvestri Craters on Mount Etna. Tasting of local honey and typical Etna products. Guided visit to the Ancient Greek Theatre of Taormina with stunning views of Mount Etna. Free time for dinner and overnight stay in Catania.
Day 8 – Saturday: End of Tour
Breakfast at the hotel and end of services.
