Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 – Tuesday: Arrival in Palermo
Arrival in Palermo with own means and hotel check-in (private transfer available on request). Free time for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2 – Wednesday: Monreale and Palermo
Visit Monreale Cathedral and its splendid Cloister. Guided exploration of Palermo’s city center with stops at the Cathedral, Martorana Church, Palatine Chapel, Teatro Massimo, and Fontana Pretoria. Typical lunch included. Free time for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3 – Thursday: Cefalù and Catania
Discover Cefalù with its majestic Norman Cathedral and charming old town. In the afternoon, arrival in Catania for a walking tour through Piazza Duomo, St. Agatha’s Cathedral, and Via dei Crociferi. Tasting of granita with brioche in a historic café. Free time for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4 – Friday: Mount Etna and Taormina
Morning dedicated to discovering Mount Etna, with a stop at the Silvestri Craters and tasting of local honey. After lunch, visit Taormina and its Ancient Greek Theatre with breathtaking views of Etna. Free time to explore the city. Free time for dinner and overnight stay in Catania.
Day 5 – Saturday: Free Day in Catania
Relax or explore the city at your own pace. Free time for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6 – Sunday: Syracuse and Noto
Morning visit to Syracuse, including the Archaeological Park of Neapolis, the Greek Theatre, and Ortigia Island. In the afternoon, excursion to Noto, capital of Sicilian Baroque. Dinner and overnight stay in Ragusa.
Day 7 – Monday: Ragusa Ibla, Modica, and Piazza Armerina
Walking tour through the Baroque center of Ragusa Ibla. Visit Modica with tasting of its world-famous chocolate. After lunch, continue to Piazza Armerina to explore the UNESCO-listed Roman Villa del Casale. Dinner and overnight stay in Agrigento.
Day 8 – Tuesday: Agrigento, Marsala, and the Salt Pans
Guided visit to the Valley of the Temples, one of Sicily’s most remarkable archaeological sites. Continue to Marsala with a visit to the historic Florio wine cellars and tasting. Scenic drive along the “Salt Road” with a stop at the Stagnone salt pans. Arrival in Palermo and overnight stay.
Day 9 – Wednesday: Erice and Segesta
Morning visit to the medieval hilltop village of Erice with panoramic views of the Egadi Islands. Afternoon visit to the Doric Temple of Segesta and its ancient Theatre. Return to Palermo. Free time for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 10 – Thursday: End of Tour
Breakfast at the hotel and end of services.
