Detailed Description
The mini-cruise departs from Milazzo Port at 12:30 PM, heading toward Panarea.
Panarea – The Island of Glamour and Nature
The smallest and oldest of the Aeolian Islands, Panarea is also the most exclusive — loved for its blend of natural beauty and chic atmosphere.
Here you can:
- Stroll through whitewashed streets and picturesque alleys, up to the Church of San Pietro.
- Visit the prehistoric village of Capo Milazzese, an archaeological site dating back to 1400 BC.
- Relax at the stunning Bay of Cala Junco, a natural pool surrounded by dramatic cliffs.
- Sunbathe on Cala degli Zimmari, the island’s only sandy beach.
- Move around easily with the typical Panarea electric taxis.
After about 2 hours on the island, the navigation continues among the volcanic islets of Basiluzzo, Spinazzola, Lisca Bianca, Dattilo, Bottaro, Lisca Nera, and the Panarelli and Formiche rocks — a breathtaking seascape that separates Panarea from Stromboli.
Stromboli – The Island of Fire
After about one hour of sailing, you’ll reach Stromboli, the volcanic island where earth’s fire meets the vastness of the sea.
During the 2-hour and 15-minute stop, you can:
- Visit Piazza San Vincenzo, with its panoramic church and the famous house where Rossellini and Ingrid Bergman stayed during the filming of Stromboli, Land of God.
- Admire Strombolicchio, the oldest volcano of the Aeolian Islands, now a small rocky islet crowned by a lighthouse.
- Enjoy a pleasant walk through Scari, the island’s main village.
Sciara del Fuoco – A Fiery Spectacle
As the sun sets, the boat sails toward the Sciara del Fuoco to witness one of the most spectacular natural shows in the Mediterranean.
Under the starry sky, you’ll watch Stromboli’s rhythmic eruptions, lighting up the darkness with glowing lava fountains and fiery lapilli.
A once-in-a-lifetime experience that will stay with you forever.
After this extraordinary adventure, you’ll head back toward Milazzo, with arrival between 10:00 and 11:00 PM (or around 9:30 PM from mid-September).
