Caltabellotta Excursion-ESC07

Departure by bus at 9 am or 2.30 pm from your hotel or near the Gulliver agency. The journey takes about 30 minutes along which you will have the opportunity to admire a typically Sicilian natural landscape where the mountains embrace the sea.

Historic center: Explore the upper area of Caltabellotta, called “Terra Vecchia”, rich in ruins and history. Visit the Palazzo Signorile, once a Spanish prison, now home to the Town Hall and a museum of sculptures and works of art.

Monte San Pellegrino: Admire the ancient Chiesa Madre built by the Normans and the castle overlooking the city, with its walls, towers, prehistoric caves and necropolis.

Tasting: End the excursion with a small tasting of typical local products, including fine olive oil “Buscionetta”, bread and cheese
