Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 – Tuesday: Arrival in Palermo
Arrival in Palermo with own means and hotel check-in (private transfer available on request). Free time for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2 – Wednesday: Monreale and Palermo
Breakfast at the hotel. Guided visit of Monreale Cathedral, famous for its extraordinary Byzantine mosaics and medieval Cloister. Continue to Palermo with visits to the Cathedral, Martorana Church, and Palatine Chapel. Typical lunch included. In the afternoon, walking tour of the historic center with stops at Teatro Massimo and Fontana Pretoria. Free time for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3 – Thursday: Cefalù and Catania
After breakfast, departure for Cefalù, a picturesque seaside town with its impressive Norman Cathedral. Free time to explore the old town. Lunch in a typical restaurant. In the afternoon, arrival in Catania for a guided visit of the historic center, including Piazza Duomo, St. Agatha’s Cathedral, and the Lava Stone Elephant. Tasting of granita with brioche in a historic café. Free time for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4 – Friday: Mount Etna and Taormina
Breakfast at the hotel and visit to Catania’s fish market. Departure for Mount Etna with a stop at the Silvestri Craters and tasting of local honey. After lunch, continue to Taormina for a guided visit to the Ancient Greek Theatre and free time for shopping and strolling through the old town. Free time for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5 – Saturday: Catania – End of Tour
Breakfast at the hotel and end of services.
