A City of Sea, Myths, and Mysteries
It’s a city of legends, overlooking the sea, with water running through its history like a living thread.
Sciacca is the city of mirages, pilgrims, and travelers like Goethe himself. Every stone tells a story — from Daedalus, who according to legend built the famous Thermal Caves of San Calogero on Mount Kronio, to the mysterious Ferdinandea Island, which emerged from the sea and vanished after just a few weeks, leaving the world amazed.
In 2025, the festival “Le Vie dei Tesori – The Treasure Trails” returns to Sciacca for its sixth edition, inviting visitors to journey through millennia of history and discover a heritage where art, faith, and nature intertwine.
From prehistoric dolmens to forgotten chapels, from baronial palaces to bourgeois mansions, every corner reveals a story that smells of sea, sulfur, and wonder.
